- First aid book ( pocket size is perfect )
- Disposible gloves
- Bandages ( various styles and sizes - conforming, triangular and roll )
- Sling ( arm injuries )
- Band aids ( waterproof ones are ideal - variety pack )
- Wound dressings ( various shapes and sizes )
- Dressing - eye pad ( x2 )
- Eye wash - saline
- Adhesive tape
- Butterfly clips
- Bandage clip
- Safety pins
- Dressing gauze
- Sterile compresses
- Antiseptic spray/cream ( savlon )
- Ice Pack ( kept in esky )
- Tissues
- Scissors
- Magnifying glass
- Tweezers
- Insect bite cream
- Sunburn lotion ( relief cream )
- Thermometer
- Hydrogen Peroxide
- Pain medication - panadol, nurofen etc
- Cotton balls / cotton tips

- First aid kits can be put together using this checklist. However if you would prefer to purchase a pre packaged first aid kit many are available online or in camping, outdoor and fishing stores.
- Always check contents of first aid kit and expiry dates. If something is used be sure to replace it before your next camping, fishing and 4WD trip.
- Know how to use everything that is in the first aid kit - saves working it out in an emergency.
- It may also be wise to have your own seperate snake bite kit. This would include bandage and retractible splint...and remember bandage firmly, splint and immobilise!
