The smaller Western Blue Groper is actually grey-brown in colour, as they mature their colour changes to a vibrant blue. They have large lips and peg-like teeth.
Commonly caught between 6-10kg, however they have been caught in excess of 30kg.
Mainly found in the south of Western Australia.
Caught in the same method as the Queensland and Blue Groper.
