Buchan Cave Reserve
The Buchan Caves Reserve offers a well serviced camping ground. Entry to reserve is free, however optional guided tours and camping sites require a fee. The reserve offers both powered and non-powered camping sites. There are also self contained units available if this is more to your liking. It is required that you book prior to arrival if you intend on staying at Buchan Cave Reserve during school holidays, as it is a very popular spot during these periods ( in particular the Easter and Christmas breaks ).
You will also find a swimming pool ( fed by the natural spring ), picnic grounds, barbeque areas, playground, toilets, kiosk, walking tracks, an information centre and an abundance of native wildlife and flora at Buchan Caves Reserve. You can also take one of the many beautiful walking trails to take in natural picturesque setting that Buchan Caves Reserve has to offer.
There are guided tours of the magical limestone caves daily ( excluding Christmas day ). It is advisable that you check the program of events that Buchan Caves Reserve offers as many of these events cater for the kids. Guided tours take place at Royal Cave and Fairy Cave, both offering a breathtaking look at nature at its best.
