The Margaret River, situated in Western Australia’s deep south west, offers beautiful bushwalks, tranquil forests, and magical caves in a relaxed setting nestled amongst the vineyards and wineries. There is plenty to keep the avid site seer busy. Margaret River is the perfect spot to unwind and take in the beauty of nature.

If you are after a great camping spot you can chose one of the many tourist parks in the region or chose one of the many camp sites situated north and south of the Margaret River township, small fees do apply. Most of these camping grounds have basic facilities such as toilets, barbeques, and basic outdoor furniture.

The Alexandria Bridge camping ground is a great camping spot that boasts all the extras that any keen camper would want. It is a large camping area beside the river that has the added bonus of toilets, cold showers, shady tree areas, grassy areas for tents, rubbish bins, water taps, fireplaces and firewood and also its own boat ramp, seriously, what more do you need?

There are some roads with the Margaret River region that are great for 4WDing, taking you for a bumpy 4×4 trip around the area.
